ALL OUT EFFORTS TO ACCOMMODATE PETITIONERS, COMPLAINANTS VISITING WMS – WAFAQI MOHTASIB

STEPS UNDERWAY TO FURTHER IMPROVE THE INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES

Islamabad: 13 April 2026 – The Wafaqi Mohtasib, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch has instructed the Officers and Staff members of his institution to make all out efforts for facilitating the complainants visiting the office. “No complainant should be turned out even if his or her complaint is related to any other federal entity or provincial department. The complaint may be accepted and redirected to the organization concerned with a covering note from this office”, he observed. He was presiding over a monthly review meeting at the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, the day before.

            He expressed the resolve that efforts would continue under the Outreach Complaint Resolution (OCR) programme and Khuli Katcheries to dispense administrative justice to the people at their doorsteps and a number of steps are being initiated to further accelerate the process. He also informed that the Informal Resolution of Disputes (IRD) programme was being further expanded to benefit the people. He directed the Officers and Staff members to ensure processing and final disposal of the complaints within the statutory time limit of 60 days.

            Earlier, he was informed during the briefing that as many as 62,734 complaints have been received till March 31, 2026. It was also informed that 213 Federal Government entities and departments have been linked to the Wafaqi Mohtasib’s Central Management Information System (CMIS), which ensures that if a complaint is not resolved at the level of the agency within 30 days, it is transferred to CMIS automatically, following which proceedings starts forthwith. The remaining Federal Government entities, he said, are also being linked to the system. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch underlined the need to pursue the awareness drive in a more organized, systemic and forceful manner so that greater number of people may benefit themselves from the services it offered. He also stated that efforts are being made to further improve the infrastructural facilities for facilitating the general public.
