Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui , Federal Secretary, Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat
Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, a Pakistan Administrative Service Officer in BS-22 has assumed charge as new Federal Secretary of Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat. Prior to this posting, he served as Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication, Planning and Development and Reforms Division, National Security Division; and Special Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Additional Charge Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting & National Heritage and Narcotics Control Division. He also worked in the President’s Secretariat as Additional Secretary.
He did his Masters in Development Administration from University of Birmingham, UK and B.Sc (Civil Engineering) from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He also holds LLB and LLM degree from Karachi University and MBA Executive from Preston University, Islamabad.
Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui has rich and diverse experience of working both in Federal and Provincial Governments in the field of Administration, Management, Public Sector Governance, Finance and Human Resource Management. He also held the position of Secretary of a range of Provincial Departments and Federal Ministries.
Mr. Siddiqui has also received training from a number of institutions of repute in Pakistan and abroad. The fields of his training include Human Resource Development, Project Analysis and Management, Computer Know How and Officer Management and Service Rules etc. He held chairmanship of various Boards of important organizations such as Telecom Foundation, PTCL, USF, Pakistan Software Board, National Telecommunication Corporation and Virtual University. He has also been on the Boards of different departments/organizations and companies.
He contributed to the authorship of Annual Plan 2018-19, PSDP 2018-19, National Water Policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SFG-Pakistan perspective, Data Reporting Gaps 2018) and has travelled to a number of foreign countries to attend various international conferences and workshops covering issues of modern era.
