Baseline Study on the Status of Compliance of Federal Agencies Responsible for Child Protection.
The Children’s Complaints Office not only aims to redress children’s grievances but to also improve coordination and policy dialogue between public sector agencies responsible for oversight on child rights issues and other stakeholders. To analyze the current gaps in the system the Children’s Complaints Office has commissioned a ‘Baseline Study on the Status of Compliance of Federal Agencies Responsible for Child Protection with the UNCRC’. The overall objective of the study is to strengthen capacity in the federal agencies for addressing children’s rights, effectively, transparently and efficiently.Effective, swift and organized mobilization of children and youth to raise awareness about the Children’s Complaint Office (CCO) and its grievance redress services is a crucial step in the Children’s Complaint Office’s awareness campaign. The CCO plans to establish Child Rights Club in schools in Pakistan. One student from each school will be selected and trained by the CCO. The students will be expected to set up the child rights club in the school, as presidents of the club, and disseminate knowledge in their respective schools. The CCO staff is also giving presentations on the CCO and the UNCRC in different schools.
